Mexican artist influenced by the architecture of Le Corbusier, who studied set design and eventually fell in with a group of European Surrealist painters. Gerzso is exhibited in the Tate, Art Institute of Chicago, Hirshorn Museum.

Gerzo uses the language of abstraction to evoke landscapes. He considered these two forms expressions of psychological dispositions, yet tied to the land.

Ciudalela means Citadel. A series of low colorful planes recede into a sunset-colored sky. Above the horizontal planes a series of rectangles hover as though to offer some distinct sign.
