Nathan Oliveira

Nathan Oliveira was an American artist born in Oakland, California in 1928. He was known for his unique style of sculpture and painting that blended elements of abstract expressionism, surrealism, and primitive art. Oliveira's work often explored themes of human emotion, spirituality, and the natural world.

Oliveira began his artistic career in the 1950s, studying at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He later moved to New York City, where he became part of the vibrant art scene of the 1960s and 70s.
